Nice Beaches nearby
The private beaches have reclining chairs, and provide towels, full food and beverage services, and a range of hire activities such as sailing, paddle boats, windsurfing, and fishing. The public beach is well maintained with showers and restroom facilities.
Juan les Pins hosts a jazz festival every year in July, and is also a good place to stay if you are attending conferences or exhibitions in Cannes, Nice, or Sophia-Antipolis.

Local Walks
- Along the ramparts of Port Vauban next to the large marina and the old town of Antibes, with the 16th century Fort Carré opposite.
- From Antibes or Juan les pins around Cap d’Antibes to look at the many villas of the very wealthy and beach clubs along Plage de la Garoupe, and past Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc one of the most exclusive hotels on the Riviera (note credit cards are not accepted if you want a meal or a drink), or along the cliff path to the rocks at Cap Gros.
- Jardin Thuret at the casino end of Juan les Pins has a collection of exotic trees and plants.
- Walks in the forests of La Valmasque and La Brague, the Vallée des Merveilles high up in the mountains or the Parc National du Mercantour.
Museums in Antibes and nearby
- Musée d’Histoire et d’Archeologie has a collection of Greek, Etruscan and Roman pottery and Roman glass.
- Chateau Grimaldi is the home of the Musée Picasso which houses more than 50 works paintings, drawings, sculptures and engravings he completed while living in Antibes in 1946 (note: the museum has been recently closed for restoration)
- Musée Peynet – a museum dedicated to the drawings of Maurice Peynet.
- Musée de la Tour – is a museum of popular arts and traditions, concentrating on 18th and 19th century costumes, furniture and objets.
- Musée Naval et Napoleonien (Ave. Kennedy on Cap d’Antibes)
- Musée National Fernand Leger in Biot – exhibits 300 works executed between 1905 and 1955 including some of his early post-Cubist paintings and ceramic panels and mosaics
- Musée Renoir in Renoir’s house Les Collettes in Cagnes set in an olive grove

There are many places to explore in the area:
- the old fortified village of Biot famous for its glassblowers and glass makers (note parking is limited so it can be best to park at the foot of the hill near the glass factory and walk up the hill to the village)
- Cannes - including the beach promenade along Plage de la Croisette, the old town area of Le Suquet, the fishing fleet moored in the Vieux Port or to the fish market (Marche Forville) which is open Tuesday to Sunday mornings, and the view from the top of the hill at Place de la Castre
- the Isles of Lérins whose State prison once held the mysterious Man in the Iron Mask. Ferries leave the Gare Maritime in Cannes daily
- Valbonne and its 15th century square
- Vallauris Golfe-Juan and its ceramics
- Tourrettes-sur-Loup “capital of violets”
- Grasse and its perfumeries
- The walled town of Saint-Paul du Vence with its dozens of art galleries and artists at work
- Gourdon perched above the River Loup with a view over the French Riviera
- the Gorges du Loup
